Fighting Chance New Car Buying Guide

Here’s a web site that sells a detailed pricing report for the car that you want to purchase, and gives your an instructions on how to get the best price on it. It may involve lots of work, and possibly long wait, but people claim to have purchased the car at dealer’s cost or only few hundred over.

Yawning

Did you ever notice that yawning is contageous? I was told that yawning is caused by lack of oxigen in the air, so I’ve always thought that people close together yewn synchronously.. until I discovered that it’s also contageous over the phone and TV! Well, according to this article, chimps show this behavior too, and that yawning “may have evolved as a social cue to synchronise sleep amongst a group”… or “is a by-product of the ability to conceive of yourself and to use your experience to make inferences about comparable experiences and mental states in others,” It always amazes me how much we don’t know about ourselves.. even simple(?) things like yawning and hiccups.

My new ride

After months of dilema I finally brought it home yesterday - a birthday gift for myself, sort of :P

I have not done any long rides or big climbs with this bike yet, but when I test rode it I was blown away by how LIGHT and comfortable it is and fell in love instantly. This bike is so light that I can hold it up with one arm extended perpendicular to the ground!

Also my shopping experience with Chain Reaction Bicycle shop was absolutely fantastic. They were very professional and courteous. They were very much concerned about accurate bike fit and comfort, and encouraged me to come back and try different components (saddle, stem, etc.. ).

Anyway.. I can’t wait to take it on the road. My next long ride will be Tour de Tahoe. Woohoo~
