The California Report: Cocktails Get a Korean Twist
Interesting segment on NPR last week tells story of how Korean Soju has became popular in many Californian bars, even non-Korean ones. The main reason for this is that CA legislature has passed a bill allowing CA restaurants with beer license (which is MUCH easier to get than a hard-liquor license) to serve Soju, after successful lobby by Korean Restaurant Owners Association.
Personally, I don’t like Soju because I get drunk too quickly. Once on a BBQ table, I drank 2 shot glasses of Soju and became temporarily blind for about 20 seconds!
