Neato! It’s like an opensource version of M$ Photosynth using Flickr photos. Looks better with faster internet connection.

Earth Hour US - Earth Hour 2008

Show your love for the Mother Earth by switching off the light 8-9pm on 3/29 (Saturday). Should be a good before & after photo op for San Francisco night skyline from the Treasure Island.

Photography and The Law: Know Your Rights

Photojojo » Photography and The Law: Know Your Rights

Here’s a good list of your rights as a photographer. Linked from it, there is a handy PDF of The Photographer’s Rights you can print and carry with you. But then, knowing your rights is one thing, taking pictures of random people on the street is another. It takes guts! Some people resort to shooting from the waist. I’ve done a few of those shots, but I usually don’t. My buddy Injoon and I were shooting homeless people as school assignments and we have been chased… yikes. Reading them our Photographer’s Rights would have done nothing to deter them.

자유채색의 여행갤러리, The Journey and Photography

Not only this guy biked 15,000km around Asia, he’s a great photographer. Very inspirational.

The site is in Korean, but photographs are not :-)

Update: Funny, Today’s Pictures at Slate is featuring very similar photos.

One Wilshire

A Lesson in Internet Anatomy: The World’s Densest Meet-Me Room

Yahoo!, Google, or AOL. They will not be without the One. One Wilshire, that is… (ok, lame) One Wilshire is pretty much the heart of the Internet. It’s one of the largest “Meet Me Room” — where all various ISP networks connect with each other. “If this facility went down, most of California and parts of the rest of the world would not be able to connect to the internet.” So much for redundant and resilient Internet.

Funny, this building is literally 5 blocks away from my mom’s apartment. And I have driven by it many times, but never realized its significance in our all-so digital lives.

WWII Vet Says He’s Subject Of Famous Robert Capa Photo

Riley, who says he is the soldier in the photo, appeared Tuesday at the International Center of Photography in New York, which is opening a major Capa exhibition this week.

Wow, what would it feel like to be the subject of one of the most recognized photo of all time?
